It has to be said that its been a pretty good year for Vendman’s MD Rob Little, following on from the high of the Pursuit of Excellence event in September, Rob headed out to Spain for the annual FIVE (Friends in Vending Europe) golf extravaganza. It was a punishing but very enjoyable few days with the weather and jet lag (?) taking its toll on some but Rob conquered all, winning the challenge cup in the end. For more details check out Planet Vending here.

‘What a fantastic event’ ‘This proves you have a great following!’ ‘This is very different, and what an amazing turn out!’ Just three quotes after our groundbreaking Pursuit of Excellence event that we held earlier this month at The Welcombe Hotel in Stratford. The day started just after lunch with the great and good of vending checking in the hotel in advance of the afternoon seminar with evening’s entertainment and golf in fabulous surroundings. More than 100 guests joined us for dinner and we packed out the seminar room for 3 hours of exceptional speeches, including presentations from our own Daniel Hamby and the incredibly knowledgeable Nathan Little. The seminar theme was all about how we each perceive and achieve … Read More
Our MD, Rob Little, recently met up with Planet Vending Editor Ian Reynolds-Young to discuss our notable absence from exhibiting this year at AVEX. Many of our clients will be aware that we thought long and hard about taking part. Vendman has been staunch supporters of the AVA for many years, sponsoring awards, events and ensuring that there was always at least one representative at AVA meetings. We sponsored the Route Operator Award again this year – congratulations go to Lisa Blythe of Snacktime. However, after the last AVEX we had to consider the best use of our marketing spend and in the end we decided to invest further in our Centres of Excellence initiative which was launched last year … Read More
Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood will be in the driver’s seat this weekend when he comes to Car Fest North at Oulton Park. Our man Dave Newsham is kindly donating temporary use of his car during the BTCC demonstration laps to Mr Hollywood. We hope he’s as deft with his driving gloves as he is with his oven gloves as 80,000 people watch him complete a lap of the circuit. He seems excited if this tweet is anything to go by.
When it was proposed to us that Planet Vending were planning to launch a ‘Best of British’ feature we jumped at the chance to be more involved. Vendman, as many are aware, is forever championing the Pursuit of Excellence with the recent launch of the Centres of Excellence initiative. We understand that all of the current Vendman Centres of Excellence have already been approached and we are really looking forward to reading and following the articles as they appear. Julie Hurran of BVS will be first to feature on Planet Vending and we’ll have the articles here on the Vendman website too.
Vendman is so pleased to be involved with the BTCC by sponsoring Dave Newsham. He went to Donington – ready to face his demons and although not all went well he has a lot to be smiling about. If you would like to join us at one of the BTCC events. Do let us know, contact Emma.Callear@vendman.com Here is an extract of his race report. The full version can be found here ‘Donington is a driver’s favourite, however not with me unfortunately. Not because I don’t like the circuit, but because I have simply never had a good meeting there. Something always goes wrong. I struggled a little for pace there too; the nature of the circuit just doesn’t suit … Read More
We’re off to the National Motorcycle Museum today to set up for Vendex Midlands tomorrow. We’ll have Six of The Best there again and our Steve will be around to talk you through all the Vendman options. Do come and see us!
We caught up with Dave Newsham last week following the first round of the BTCC and this is what he had to say. “First round of the season over, and although getting punted on the first lap of race one and pipe coming off the turbo on the final lap of race two whilst in P10, not too bad. We had a solid race three finishing P9, and having a great race with Andy Priaulx (3 times world touring car champ) in the works BMW. He did however shunt his way by me on the final corner taking my P8! We aren’t far away on pace and we still have a lot of potential in this car with more running.” … Read More
