AVEX? – For Vendman it just didn’t add up

VendmanRob Little, Vendman

Our MD, Rob Little, recently met up with Planet Vending Editor Ian Reynolds-Young to discuss our notable absence from exhibiting this year at AVEX. Many of our clients will be aware that we thought long and hard about taking part. Vendman has been staunch supporters of the AVA for many years, sponsoring awards, events and ensuring that there was always at least one representative at AVA meetings. We sponsored the Route Operator Award again this year – congratulations go to Lisa Blythe of Snacktime.

However, after the last AVEX we had to consider the best use of our marketing spend and in the end we decided to invest further in our Centres of Excellence initiative which was launched last year at Northcote.

To introduce Centres of Excellence to all of our customers we have just organised the first ‘In Pursuit of Excellence’ symposium where key speakers will present their own ideas of what excellence means for them individually. The objective of the event is to open up discussions so that best practice can be shared for the good of vending as a whole, and to provide our end user clients the best service possible. The event will be held early September at The Welcombe Hotel in Stratford. Covered by Planet Vending, it will be attended by more operators than has ever before been seen in the same room!  A night of fun and entertainment will follow, and a chance to stretch some legs next morning on the excellent golf course… However more of the event in a later news post however you can read here the initial story to reach the pages of Planet Vending.
